Having trained with instructor Handwerker off and on for a decade as my schedule permits, I know that he is always improving his art as any good teacher/student should. He is open minded to other styles but is also confident and knowledgeable with his own. There isn’t macho egos in his school and as such, it is very approachable. He is dedicated to the success of his students and promotes on merit and skill and this results in true training. Thank you for the real deal education. I am a martial artist because of the education I’ve received through Handwerker Martial Arts.

I attended an online Modular Knife User Certification course at Artisan Martial Arts. Sensei Mish is a great instructor who’s able to break down the Modular Knife curriculum into manageable pieces. His video equipment is state-of-the-art, which made learning via “Zoom” a great learning experience. I would highly recommend Artisan Martial Arts, whether it be in-person instruction or online classes.

I have worked with Sensei Mish Handwerker for over a decade and I have found very few martial artists whose conviction and dedication to the martial arts to match his. I am glad that he is bringing his knowledge of both karate and Filipino Marital Arts tot he city of Vancouver (my home town).
